Shoot 2 of Film/installation with NFB and imagineNATIVE

Just finished up the final shoot in my hometown of Stephenville Crossing for my upcoming Film and installation with the NFB and imagineNATIVE. The weather was up and down, making it quite a challenge to get the shots needed, but all in all we got some amazing footage and I am excited for the next steps in this collaboration. Thank you to an amazing crew, you made my job as Director and Actor a dream, I don't know how I would have done it without you all.

The project is possible though collaboration from the National Film Board of Canada and imagineNATIVE, here are a few shots of the ongoing work in progress. Many thanks to the crew and looking forward to the next portion of the shoot!

Change the name

The issue of derogatory names and caricatures within major, minor and college league sports has been an ongoing battle for quite some time. I make it a point to bring up some of these issues within my own work and have friends who put their neck out there with their own perspectives and twist on the issue too. Here is a video that goes to show that if enough people believe in something, a change can come. It's an important time for indigenous people of our country to stand up and fight for future generations, making a stand and protecting our land our air and the pride of our people. We don't want our children to hold a picture of a caricature in their minds as a representation of who they are. Spread the word world.
